Brian Berthoud is an ECB Level 3 Cricket Coach with over 18 years of experience. He has worked within grassroots cricket and has mentored & coached players who are now playing in both the First Class and International games. He has spent many years working for Surrey Cricket, as a Development, Performance and age group coach. Most recently he has been leading a centre for the Pride of Lions programme for Surrey.

He is currently the Head Coach of Walton On Thames CC and comes to PYC with a wealth of experience in club cricket having been Head Coach of Cheam CC, Horsley & Send CC and Old Whits CC.

Brian’s passion has led him to coach in various environments including schools, academies (both his own and a number of others), leading oversees tours, international placements and competitions and throughout county by request.

Brian is currently pursuing his Degree in Business and Sports Management which he plans to use to continue to develop the game of cricket and to enable people to create those platforms to grow and perform in a holistic way.

Brian believes that cricket is not just played on the field but it’s a journey that you undertake which develops you in ways you never thought it would. It’s a network of support, unity, strength, healthy competition and perseverance!
